BILS, under DGB-BW project organised a two days refreshers training for the paralegal supporters on October 9-10, 2020 at Hotel Alina, Chattogram.
BILS-LRSC Coordintion Committee Chairman A M Nazimuddin inaugurated the programme. BILS-LRSC Coordintion Committee member and TUC Chattogram president Tapan Datta, senior practitioner of Chattagram Labour Court Advocate Md. Jane Alam, BILS-LRSC senior officer Rizwanur Rahman Khan and Assistant Program Officer Fazlul Kabir Mintu conducted various sessions of the training program. The training programme was attended by 15 participants from different local trade union organisations.
The sessions of the training program included mainly on “How to submit grievances and settle dispute in terms of illegal termination”, “What is to be done when Management take disciplinary action against a worker”, “How to establish workers rights through legal procedure, dialogue & mitigation”, “Appointment Letter, ID Card, Working Hour, Rest & Leave”, “Types of Cases that could be filed in Labour Court” “Role Play Session: Tripartite Dispute Settlement Meeting as per Section 124(Ka) of Bangladesh Labour Law”.
