Human chain formed at Tongi recalling 5 year of Tazreen Garments fire, demanding workplace safety, compensation and rehabilitation for victimsSramik Karmochari Oikya Parishad-SKOP Tongi Area Coordination Committee and IndustriAll Bangladesh Council Tongi-Gazipur Claster Committee and BILS Jointly formed a human chain recalling five-year of Tazreen Garments fire and demanding workplace safety, compensation and rehabilitation for victims on November 24, 2017 in front of Tongi Press Club.

Speakers in the human chain demanded for ensuring workplace safety and defining proper compensation and rehabilitation for all the victims, detemining National standard of compensation, taking initiatives to rehabilitate the injured workers of Tazreen fire and ensuring punishment to the people responsible for workplae accident.

Sramik Karmochari Oikya Parishad-SKOP, Tongi Area Coordination Committee Corordinator Shamsinnahar Bhuiyan presided over the human chain while IndustriAll Bangladesh Council , Tongi-Gazipur Claster Committee Coordinator Slaouddin Swopon, Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal Gazipur area Joint General Secretary Liton Khan, Jatiya Sramik League Tongi area Women affairs Secretary Happy Begum, Jatiya Sramik Jote Bangladesh Tongi area President Shahin Akter Parveen, Bangladesh Sramik Federation Tongi area President Md. A S M Zakaria, Bangladesh Trade Union Cendra Tongi area General Secretary Md. Kamruzzaman delivered their speech. Besides,  Leaders of SKOP Tongi area Coordination Committee and IndustriAll Bangladesh Council Tongi-Gazipur claster committee affiliated Trade Union Federation, Union, leaders of different workers organisations, journalists and local people participated in the human chain.
