BILS organized a consultation meeting with the TU Federation Leaders for the selection of participants in the capacity-building training for youth and women trade union leaders on 25th November 2023, at the BILS Seminar Hall. A total of 45 youth and women trade union workers have been selected for the training program from the trade union nominee list. BILS Chairman Md. Habibur Rahman Siraz, presided over the meeting and BILS Secretary Md. Shakil Akhter Chowdhury Facilitated the meeting, Joint Secretary General, BILS Dr. Wajedul Islam Khan delivered the welcome speech and BILS Deputy Director M.A. Mazid introduce and presented the project activities. 30 trade union leaders from different federations and BILS officials were present there. BILS Director Kohinoor Mahmood described the program’s nature in brief: how a pool of 45 talented youth and women TU leaders will be selected and will receive 4 training courses on office management, financial management, basic IT skills, and soft skills, including communication skills.
