Domestic Workers Rights Network- DWRN with the support of Oxfam organized a colorful Rally and Human Chain at National Press Club area on May 1, 2018 morning to celebrate May Day.

More than 200 domestic workers from DWRN member organizations both Trade Union and Human Rights organizations took part in the Program. Syed Sultan Uddin Ahmmed, Coordinator of DWRN and Executive Director of Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies- BILS presided over the closing session of the events. Abul Hossain, Advisor of the National Domestic Women Workers Union- NDWWU conducted the Rally and Human Chain. Among others Nagorik Uddog Executive Director Zakir Hossain, BILS Advisory Council Member Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Trade Union leaders and representatives of DWRN member organizations delivered their solidarity speech in the program.  DWRN Organisers, Domestic Workers and Young Trade Union leaders played very active role throughout the whole event. DWRN also published a leaflet on that day and leaflets describing rights of domestic workers as per the Domestic Workers Protection & Welfare Policy were widely circulated during the Rally and Human Chain.
