BILS, under its’ DGB-BW project organized a meeting of its’ LRSC-Civil society network entitled “Sromik Shanghoti Forum” on June 10, 2021 at Hotel Asian SR, Chattogram.

Main objectives of the meeting are what is to be done in terms of 7 workers brutal killing and injury of many other workers due to a police firing at SS Power Plant, located at Gondamara, Banskhali, Chattogram, reviewing early forum activities and others.

Speakers in the meeting discussed over the SS Power Plant killing and agreed to exchange information and support to ensure treatment of the injured workers and provide possible logistic supports to get the legal compensation of dead workers.

BILS-LRSC Centre Coordination Committee Chairman A M Nazimuddin chaired the meeting. Senior Journalist and Sub-editor of The Daily Suprovat Bangladesh Subash Dey, BILS-LRSC Member-Secretary Md. Saiful Islam, BELA representative Farmin Elahi Era, BITA representative Ela Chowdhury, BILS Sr. Officer Rizwanur Rahman Khan and Pahari Bhattacharjee, Assistant Program officer Fazlul Kabir Mintu were spoke on the occasion.
