BILS with the support of CARE Bangladesh organised a two day long training titled “Trainers training on ILO Convention 190 for the prevention of gender based violence at Workplace” on October 21-22, 2020 at BILS Seminar Hall, Dhaka aiming to form a trainers’ team for inspiring the government to ratify ILO Convention 190 through lobby and advocacy at national level.
The main objective of the training was to build the capacity of the participants for make them able to describe the current situation of gender based violence at workplace in Bangladesh; to explain ILO Convention 190 and ILO Recommendation 206, to prepare a planning session on any part of ILO Convention 190 by using proper training methodology and practice it.
At the opening session BILS Director Kohinoor Mahmood delivered the introductory speech. Trainers training were conducted by BILS Consultant Abu Eusuf Mollah and Khandoker Abdus Salam. Total number of 15 participants from National Trade Union center attended in the training programme.
