In connection to the recent visit of Ms. Catelene Passchier, Member, ILO Governing Body to Bangladesh, a Meeting was organized on 1 April, 2018 at BILS Seminar Hall. The meeting was organised aiming to discuss about contemporary issues of labour and Trade Union movement, labour law review by the observation of ILO and process of ILO insurance scheme.

Discussants in the meeting recommended for taking initiatives to unite Trade Union movement, campaigning for living wage, implementation of more structural and strategic ILO activities, functional role of DIFE and wage board in terms of workers interest, increasing workers minimum wage on the basis of current living standard, forming institutional framework for monitoring factory improvement.
