Discussing the success in implementing workers’ right, challenges and way forward to overcome the problems for raising awareness among the workers at area level along with intensifying the activities of Trade Union were the main objectives the meeting.
Sramik Karmochari Oikya Parishad-SKOP, Narayanganj Area Coordination Committee Coordinator and BILS Vice Chairman Alhaj Sukkur Mahamud chaired meeting and delivered the welcome speech while Narayanganj Cluster Committee-IBC Coordinator and Bangladesh Jatiya Garments and Textile Sramik Karmochari Parishad President Hedayetul Islam delivered the introductory speech. BILS Programme Officer Md. Sayeduzzaman Mithu moderated the meeting and presented the keynote paper on “Labour Rights issues according to the Declaration of Universal Human Rights 1948”.
SKOP affiliated and BILS associated national Trade Union Federations and IndustriAll affiliated Federations local Trade Union leaders involved with RMG sector of Narayanganj area participated in the meeting.
