BILS, with the support of Mondiaal FNV organised an area based planning meeting on October 14, 2018 at BILS Seminar Hall. The meeting was organised aiming to coordinate area based committees regularly, to contribute in protesting violation of workers’ rights and gender based violence at workplace through the implementation of social activities and active participation in social dialogue.

Forming Union in garments sector, identifying challenges of Trade Union, organising social programmes as well as social dialogue and protesting gender based violence at workplace were the discussed issues in the meeting.

BILS Joint Secretary General Md. Zafrul Hasan delivered the welcome speech while IBC Savar-Ashulia Cluster Committee Coordinator and Bangladesh Textile and Garments Workers League President Z A M Kamrul Anam moderated the meeting. Among others, Sramik Karmochari Oikya Parishad-SKOP, Savar-Ashulia Coordinator Advocate Abdul Aoual, BILS Director Nazma Yesmin and SKOP associated and BILS affiliated national Trade Union Federation and IndustriALL affiliated Federations of Savar-Ashulia area RMG oriented local Trade Union leaders, BILS leaders and officials were present in the meeting.
