As part of the project titled, “Effective Social Dialogue for Decent Work in RMG industry”, supported by Mondiaal FNV, a 2-day long training programme was launched by BILS at Dhaka Ahsania Mission Auditorium, Dhanmondi, Dhaka on May 30, 2025 with the participation of the youth and women trade union leaders at RMG sector. The aim of this training programme, titled “Capacity Building Training for Women and Youth Trade Union Leaders on Human Rights Due Diligence”, is to make youth trade union leaders aware and empowered about HRDD.

BILS Advisory Council Member Naimul Ahsan Jewel chaired the inaugural session of the training programme, while BILS Director Nazma Yesmin delivered welcome address and discussed on the objectives of the training. The sessions of the training will be conducted by Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University Assistant professor Md. Aurongajeb Akond, Mondiaal FNV Consultant (Bangladesh) Md. Shahinur Rahman and Samajtantrik Sramik Front General Secretary Ahsan Habib Bulbul. A total of 26 youth and women trade union organisers from RMG sector participated at the training programme.
