BILS, with the support of Mondiaal FNV organised a discussion meeting with participation of Trade Union Leaders at Gazipur-Tongi area on October 11, 2017 at Railway Shishu Niketon, Tongi, Gazipur. The meeting was organised to discuss about planning activities for next 3 months at Gazipur-Tongi area and conducting campaign.

In the meeting the participants took decision on providing appointment letter to all workers working in factories, implementing tk 5300 as minimum wage for the garments workers declared by government, implementing particular working hour, providing maternity leave and bonus to women workers, providing overtime payment according to Labour Law and planning activities to observe various days.

Leaders of Sramik Karmochari Oikya Parishad (SKOP)-Tongi area included Federations and IndustriAll Bangladesh Council Tongi-Gazipur area committee included Union and Federations participated in the meeting.
