Vice Chairman of Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies-BILS, former President of Jatiya Sramik League and eminent trade union leader Alhaj Sukkur Mahamud passed away at his residence in Narayanganj today, January 28, 2020 at 1.30 am. (Innalillahe Wa Innailahe Rajeun).

BILS Chairman Md Habibur Rahman Shiraz, Secretary General Nazrul Islam Khan and Executive Director Md. Zafrul Hasan expressed their deep condolence on behalf of the BILS family, adding that his death has caused irreparable damage to the trade union movement in Bangladesh. They prayed for the peace of his departed soul and said that the working people will never forget his contribution.
